Finally, I am batched!!

Hey friends, i got placed through campus recruitments in TCS during my UG. But my call had been delayed due to various reasons. I have already blogged about the difficulty in getting one's date of joining in my previous posts. Te recession in the current scenario had been a major cause for the delay. The recession had struck hard many companies and henceforth they have delayed the induction process for the freshers and the also stopped the recruitments. But my scenario has changed now!

I finally got my date of joining on February 25th,2009. Well, i am very much relieved now because i feel my job is secure. TCS has been and is being one of the reputed companies in the world. Though every IT company in India was affected by the recession, TCS too, it is their respect and dedication for the company that they have called us. Te CEO of TCS, Mr.Ramadurai had already announced that each and every offer made with students will be honored. TCS stuck to its words. There is no words to describe my joy now!!

TCS being an MNC provides very good training for the freshers. I am waiting hard to be a part of TCS. Hope my days pass out soon!!

So close was the God of Cricket!!

Cricket is almost portrayed as a religion in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and several other countries. Every religion has a god and in the same fashion, one cricketer is being worshipped as god. Well, it's none other than the greatest itself- Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin has similar titles like the Little Master and Master Blaster.

Watching Sachin play itself is a gift! Then what can you say when you see him so close. I have seen his performances several times in the television. December 15th, 2008 was when I saw Sachin play in the MAC stadium, Chennai. He scored a century too. See how lucky I was. Well the match ended with a four, Sachin securing India's historic win. My luck didn’t stop at the match end. The match concluded at around 5. After the match I visited a ice cream shop with my friends. I happened to return to the Chepauk railway station at around 5.45. There was a small crowd at the stadiums gate. And I forgot to say that the stadiums entrance and the railway station are just separated by inches. I mingled with the crowd and learnt that they were there to see the players leaving.

I went much exited. I first saw the Indian Captain M.S.Dhoni, leaving in a car. Followed him came a bus. It had transparent windows. As the bus came closer, I saw Harbhajan Singh and Gambhir. Both were so silent! As the bus turned, the crowd went mad. I was confused at this. Just then realized that the reason for it- it was Sachin. He was seated in the first row and OMG!! I saw him so close!! So close that we were only parted by a few inches. That was an amazing incident. I felt I was the luckiest man at that moment. Wow!! I still couldn’t believe that it happened. And i even saw Sehwag, Yuvraj, Venkatesh Prasad at a clsoe range. I thought of sharing this to you people and hence have posted. Do comment about it!!

Hollywood Vs Kollywood!!

Posted by Vadi

Hollywood has been the greatest entertainer in the world of humans till date. Hollywood has provided the world a chance to see the unbelievable. In India, cinema is nearly a part of everyone's life. Each state has its own cine world naming them Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood etc... The Tamil Cinema Industry, otherwise known as the Kollywood, has its own mannerism and has a great fan base all over the world. But there is a huge difference among these cine industries. Few would have known but their are many who have no idea about it!

The Difference...

Hollywood, a world of healthy producers and consummate directors, is one among the largest earning department. The term Magnificent and Grand is a companion to its pronunciation. Hollywood had yielded megaphones like Jurassic Park, Matrix, Independence day etc... The industry has also delivered classics like The Godfather and emotional pictures like Forest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, etc... The industry has never failed to satisfy its audience and had never seen drought of new creations. The concept of Matrix was never expected and the animation of the Lord of the Rings can never be said "Incredulous". And to mention about its workers, the actors like Toma Hanks, Nicholas Cage can even make a slow movie a very interesting one. But what about Kollywood??

Kollywood is also one big industry in India and holds some credit for popularizing Indian films among the audience in the rest of the world. The Kollywood is not a base with heavy producers who dare to invest money on megaphones. The producers insist only on certain stereotypical movies popularly kown as the "Masala movies". The reason lies in the profit those movies yield. Kollywood is ruled by Heroism, wherein a hero has a huge fan base and he does movies only to satisfy their fans. Those movies have a song (a "Kuthu" song - would make you dance for sure), a sentiment, a heroine and a climax with the villain. The people have now realized this but they heroes don't. Vijay, an actor in Kollywood in one such bad example and is the top among actors who lead kollywood to pits. But there are movies like Anbe Sivam, Mozhi that can be compared to top class emotionals. But there are actors who have taken Kollywood to heights like Ajith Kumar, Kamal Hassan and Rajinikanth. Kamal Hassan had done a magnum opus "Dasavatharam" . The movie was liked by Jackie and by the world to. Thanks to Ajith Kumar, who proved the world that India can do Stylish and Magnificent movies though his "Billa". Billa ranks the second most highest grosser of Indian cinemas in the world next to Sivaji. I do not want to mention about Sivaji, because it was a masala movie. The Indian Superstar Rajinikanth is now in his work in delivering a Sci-fi movie named "Robot". This is something new to cinema as Indian movies haven't seen one in its long history. Hope the trend has been sent by these Artists and its with the rest to groom it more.

Thus there is a huge difference between the Hollywood and the Kollywood mainly in its presentation level, but not not to be forgotten that Hollywood still stands tall. But it isn't deniable that Kollywood may grow into a tough competitor to the Hollywood, may not be now but in the future...

Our job – Still a mirage!!

Posted by Vadi

In India, students are mostly recruited via college campuses. This recruiting style was initiated by the IT companies. India is a source of quality software engineers, who are very good at programming. The western and European countries depend on the software giants in India, and of course the other countries as well, for their purpose. They pay heavily and hence IT jobs are on heavy demand. The projects pour in plenty. This had driven the giants to pick up young engineers for the job. And that was how it started…..

But it's not all once you get placed!! You have to wait… Wait till your date of joining arrives. Dates of Joining are just like the MTC buses in Chennai… You never know when they would come… but they would definitely come. The wait for the job even extends to a year. That’s really a pity… The feel is different (not jealous) when you see your friend going to work sooner than you.

The people around the students need to be mentioned here. They keep torturing students about their date of joining. They never realize the reason for the delay. Worse cases even happened to students where they have been questioned about their Job by their servant. The case still worsens when they express their feelings.

Getting a job is easy nowadays, but getting your date of joining is quiet difficult unless and unless you are from a renowned institute. The dates are just a mirage!! But it will surely turn some day to be real!

The cowards!!

Cowards are the names given to the scared ones to face challenges put to them. Its time this name has to be narrowed to a set of people, not the weak ones! But to the inhumans- The terrorists!! The attacks at innocent people have always boiled their blood. We intend to forget them in a few days. Terrorism has only little significance among the people, especially the illiterate. But now they too have started to realize the present scenario!

This has brought the world under one arm. Each one has realized the effects and are grouping hands to overcome terrorism!! But the terrorists have to no reason to group them. They do have definite reasons to protest against a certain thing but they don’t have reasons for their attacks. Why do they attack the civilians? Terrorism has rooted in all countries. The militants instead of attacking their targets have turned their arms to the general people! Why do they do it? The reason is they never get what they demand their targets! So they turn towards the civilians hoping their demands are satisfied in the other way. Isn't it a cowardice act? Of course, they can be called cowards. Terrorism is the real barrier to the growth of humans. The cowards can continue their acts, but in the end it’s the brave who wins. That’s the moral!

A hello to this world!! This is Prabhakaran from India. My reason for blogging is to radiate my opinions, what my mind speaks. Ideas strike every mind, and they indeed leave a mark atleast for a few minutes. But it’s the prolonging nature of the human to forget it in a second. Of course, the unwanted things have to be erased, but it's not the case with the present world! Presenting your thoughts to the world can make the rest think and at the same moment pats you to reason more.

Life is never complex but I am one among the person who wishes to lead a complicated life! That’s life, its all about what your mind speaks
